Tom formed Visular in 2002 with one mission in mind: delivering the best in technology leadership to drive results quickly for his clients. Since then, teams comprised of Visular Associates, various vendors and top client talent have delivered superb results. Projects have covered a wide spectrum from interim CIO work, major system implementations, security improvements, organization design, and driving large change initiatives. Building on this success and an expanding network of A-player professionals, Visular is moving towards its goal of helping companies of all types achieve world class technology.
Tom comes from the senior management ranks of GE where he progressed over 12 years to the role of CIO for two of GE Capital’s businesses in Europe. His formidable management skills are a credit to more than 15 of GE’s world-recognized Leadership Development courses including Strategic Leadership, Change Management, Problem Solving / Project Management and 6-Sigma Quality. In 2001 Tom co-founded a high tech start-up which developed and sold state of the art internet banking products. This breadth of experience enables Tom to clearly articulate the complexities of technology and deliver results in a wide range of environments.
Bob brings to Visular years of experience as an executive in industry and as a principal running management and technology consulting groups. He spent 10 years running both management and IT consulting practices for American Express, in the process being named a national Amex Honors recipient for development of IT strategy for an Amex division. While at Amex he lead a myriad of projects, typically involving development of business and IT strategy, business process redesign, and technology execution in support of strategy and process optimization, at both large, global and mid-sized, privately held firms.
Bob has been a CIO and Interim CIO for a number of mid-sized firms – in medical products, industrial materials, and in consumer products. Most recently he was VP of Supply Chain and IT for Holly Hunt, the leading brand in the luxury furniture industry. Prior to that he was a principal in the Supply Chain practice for a division of NTT Data, the largest IT consulting firm in Japan, where he worked on projects with divisions of Nissan and Mitsubishi.
Bob begin working with Visular in 2009, clarifying and elaborating global technology strategy for a Fortune 100 firm. Bob and Tom Wolf co-led teams at that firm which, over a period of nearly a year, defined core IT operating principles and the role of the global enterprise IT strategy function, established new decision rights and governance structures, and rethought the global application solution delivery function.
Yasmin Naguib Maclean
Yasmin is a senior business change leader with 15+ years proven delivery in transforming processes, departments and projects employing global-sourcing strategies. She has extensive IT outsourcing and off-shoring experience and is a proven project and program manager.
Her skills as an excellent communicator, strong leader, and supportive mentor have helped her deliver in a wide range of areas including: strategy and policy formulation; geopolitical, economic and legal (intellectual property) analysis; business continuity planning in global and multi-sourced environments; bid and tender management, contract negotiation, strategic vendor alignment ; process and system design to support evolving client and vendor relationships; organizational change management during transition and into steady-state management
